Flood disaster: Sudanese people suffer from rain and floods crisis
The Sudanese Ministry of Health reported that the death toll from the ongoing rains and floods since the beginning of the rainy season in June has increased to 173, with 505 people injured.The ministry’s statement highlighted that five additional states—Al-Qadarif, the Red Sea, Northern, South Kordofan, and West Kordofan—were affected by the recent floods, raising the total number of impacted states to 11 out of Sudan’s 18 states. The floods have severely affected 38,000 families, with over 170,000 people impacted.
