White Nile Governor: We will stand firm in the face of famine

During an inspection visit to traditional agricultural projects in Tandalti locality, the governor was joined by state government officials, the security committee, and key figures such as Engineer Wesal Al-Sheikh Farah, the acting Director General of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources, and Professor Hisham Al-Sheikh, Executive Director of Tandalti locality. The governor commended the quality of summer crops and urged the facilitation of fuel permits for agricultural areas to ensure completion of cultivation.
Engineer Wesal Al-Sheikh Farah reported that over 2.5 million acres have been cultivated, out of a target of more than 3.3 million acres for the summer season. She expressed optimism that the target would be surpassed, noting the absence of agricultural pests and the beneficial impact of high rainfall across rain-fed areas. Farah praised the efforts of traditional farmers for their role in food security and economic stability.
